Night on the Town Privacy Policy

AppDev, LLC, doing business publicly as AppDev Works, operates Night on the Town. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app and related website may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Search information: location details you enter, such as a city, state, country, address, or ZIP/postal code; dates, times, event categories, restaurant preferences, and related search choices.
- Optional device location: if you choose “Use My Location,” the app may access your device’s approximate location while performing a nearby restaurant search. You can deny or withdraw this permission through your device settings.
- Shared-session information: a participant name, invite code, selected choices, and voting information when you use Couple Mode or Group Mode for restaurant planning.
- Device and app information: information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app, such as app version, device platform, and diagnostic information.
- Support communications: information you provide when contacting us, including your email address and the contents of your message.
How we use information
- Provide restaurant and event search results and related details.
- Operate shared restaurant-planning sessions, invitations, and voting.
- Open third-party pages, such as Ticketmaster or map and restaurant-detail services, when you choose those features.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the app.
- Process subscriptions and trial conversions through Apple App Store or Google Play billing.
Third-party services
To provide search and app features, information may be sent to service providers such as Google Places for restaurant search and Ticketmaster for event information. When you open a third-party result, that provider’s website or app may collect information under its own privacy policy. Apple and Google process in-app purchases, subscriptions, and related payment information under their own terms. We do not receive your full payment-card number through the app.
Sharing and sale of information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to provide requested features, operate our hosting and technology services, protect the app and its users, comply with law, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or sale of assets.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing features, maintaining records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children’s privacy
Night on the Town is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to grant device-location permission.
- You can stop using the app and request support regarding information associated with your use.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for purchase.
- You can contact us with privacy questions or requests.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, services, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
